Yesterday we heard the sad news that little Luca Jones passed away after searching for a bone marrow donor had failed.
The news is devastating and my sympathies go out to all his family and those connected with the search to find a suitable donor.
If ever there was a need to work harder to recruit, it's now. The bone marrow register in England is working to increase the numbers on the register and especially men between the ages of 18 and thirty, who are woefully short in numbers, yet are the best donor group.
If you engage in social networking post the link to the Anthony Nolan Organisation and talk to as many people you know, so that other people can find a suitable match and give them the last chance of life.
